Trek Y Series
Today we are talking about an old type of awesome mountain bike that is no longer around. Have you heard of Trek's Y series? I have to tell you that even today i am still in love with my Y series bike. I have a Y-11 which is a carbon fiber frame. It is so light that people cannot believe it when they lift it up with one hand.
I have ridden tons of bikes, but I really do love my Y-11 for cross country riding. I wish that they did not stop making the Y Series. It was a leader at the time, won awards for its design and is a classic. Anyone that has ever ridden a Y Series will tell you that they love it. I have never met anyone who knew anything about bikes, that did not love a classic Y Series ride.

If you can get your hands on a Trek Y Series bike, that has been well looked after, then grab it. You will love having the opportunity to go for a ride on a Y Series bike. I am telling you too, that you will turn heads and have people stopping you to ask about your bike. I always have people stopping me. Remember one thing though, the lifetime warranty on Trek bikes is only for the original owner. My carbon fiber bike is warrantied for life because I bought it brand new. I am not sure if I would gamble buying a used carbon fiber frame, but you can check out a good metal framed Y Series bike (if you can find someone willing to give theirs up).
